Open Mic Recap and Gratitude

What a year! There are so many highlights. These moments would not have been possible without the incredible people and organizations who came together to play with theater and create original works of art, witness a performance, march in a parade, attend an open mic, fund a project, volunteer at the festival, and so much more. Thank you for being a part of our community and for all the ways we make this work happen together. We are taking time to reflect and recharge, and are so excited for what is to come in 2025.

This past week, MIO’s Lewiston community group hosted our final event of 2024 “Everything Must Change” Open Mic at L/A Arts with support from the National Endowment for the Arts. It was a beautiful celebration. Thank you to everyone who joined us for a night of original poetry, comedy, music, and community. The room was filled with powerful sharing, deep listening, much laughter, energetic kids, and so much love. Huge shout out to everyone who performed and to Viva for bringing down the house as the featured artist!
