MIO will be opening for Sister Helen Prejean at Colby College February 12, 2018. 5 years ago, Sister Helen Prejean joined MIO for our very first performance with 7 incarcerated youth, “Journey Through Punishment” at Hannaford Hall in Portland. On February 12, the performer troupe will be fifteen MIO community participants directly impacted by mass incarceration performing “Love Is Alternatives to Incarceration.” The movement has grown! This night should not be missed.
